XXVI
By Amanda DeVenuta
Apple blossoms fringe my hair
Oh sweet September how you adorn me with time
My lips becoming sweeter with memories stamen, an autumn nectar that strips me bare
Here I stand a year of youth lost
Browning, slowly but elegantly with the saffron flowers
