The Whirling
By Ed Jay
The whirling

 Persian finds voice
 like Earth finds orbit

 to reach long fingers
 through human destruction

 like gravity
 that binds bodies to ground.

 In whirling souls unbound
 bound by love, Rumi seeks

 the simple truth,
 the treasure beneath the ruins.
