By Kate LaDew
I climb inside you and look out
oh, wow, the whole world’s lit up
every beating heart outlined in christmas
right smack at the center of all the people
a great, big burning, the ba-boom ba-boom
a symphony lifting everywhere
is this what you see? I whisper
every day, every day, your chest booms
I make my eyes a camera,
click the shutter and when I climb out,
look down at the lopsided outline of my heart
glowing bright, a neon sign flashing open
