Life is a Dollop

By Joe Vickers

Life is a dollop,

a scoop of juice in you.

You recollect yourself in

admiration: I was a dollop,

a drop of dew,

dripping moisture on the

plant – (but) the sunshine already

peaked forgetting.

A bit of something in you – that’s

what life was. Something

fading passing. It fell off

the leaf or something.
