Forget Me Not

Forget me not for time has forgotten me,
I am still here in flesh, blood and bone.
The river of heaven flows through me
And I have walked many miles to come back home.
Forget me not, nor make me a stranger
For time will make stranger things of you and I.
And famine and flood will create enough danger
For many to perish and die.
They will not utter farewell, nor bless goodbye.
Not like you and I.
God may command us through barren wretched land
But whatever direction the wind blows us,
We will keep hand fixed firmly in hand.
I will not let them neglect you, nor you I.
I will not leave you without saying goodbye.
