COVID 19_A Cobweb

Waheeda Aamir

A bolt from the blue

A pandemic in human zoo

No hue and cry but silence

A queer horror prevailed

For aeon in the whole world

Institutes, offices, markets suddenly

Closed un-expectedly, irrevocably

Hitherto test and trial present

A curse from high heaven

Or an ordeal for human

Not mere things but...

People are in topsy turvy

All affected from all tiers

Conspicuous changes

Abruptly happened

Hugs, greetings

No more meetings

Social distancing as necessary

As a dame wears accessary

Now sanitizers, masks

Are like vital tasks

Millions,millions die

De facto a truth not lie

Lucky art those alive

Die gratia survive

But....

Dark night is followed by a ray

Surely, surely a braw day

Let that day come

Let that day come
